Common Compulsory Foreign Language (English) Exemption Exam

 

ANNOUNCEMENT / INFORMATION

 

· Exam Date: 06.03.2025

· Exam Time: 15:00

· Exam Venue: A BLOCK (Exam rooms will be announced at the entrance of A Block 15 minutes before the exam.)

· Application Deadline: 04.03.2025

· Exam Content: The exam will be conducted face-to-face and consists of 50 multiple-choice questions.

 

Exam Information:

 

· Students who are required to take common compulsory foreign language courses may choose to participate in the Exemption Exam held at the beginning of the Spring Semester.

· Students who score 60 or above in the exam will be exempt from the compulsory foreign language courses (ING102, ING104, ENG102, ING202) required in the Spring Semester.

· Students who pass the exam do not take the exempted courses. The grades obtained in the Exemption Exam will be recorded in their transcripts as letter grades and will be included in their overall GPA.

· The Exemption Exam is valid only for the ING/ENG coded courses required in the semester in which the student takes the exam.

 

Conditions for Taking Common Compulsory Foreign Language Courses:

 

· Students who do not take or fail the Exemption Exam must take and successfully complete these courses within the designated semester before graduation.

· Students who are retaking ING/ENG coded courses in the Spring Semester cannot take the exemption exam. If they do, their exam will be considered invalid.

· There is no make-up exam for the Exemption Exam.

 

Exam Day Information:

 

· Students who wish to take the exam must complete the application form. Students who have not applied will not be allowed to take the exam under any circumstances.

· A valid ID card or student ID card must be presented. Students who fail to provide identification will not be allowed to take the exam.

· The exam answer sheet must be filled out using a pencil only. Students are responsible for bringing their own supplies.
